The destruction caused by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita is almost beyond measure.
Volunteer groups with a wide range of skills - cleaning, "mucking", tearing out, and rebuilding -
will be needed for many years.
Participate in a mission trip (by yourself or with a group). You can stay overnight at a Lutheran church
and serve together on a local project. There are many opportunities throughout the Gulf Coast Area to volunteer. Several of the sites
affiliated with the Lutheran churches are listed below. Feel free to contact the site directly

- Pray wherever you are for those in the Gulf Coast area who are still trying to rebuild lives as
well as seeking meaning and hope in the midst of loss. See prayer resources
on this site.
- Pray with us by coming to the New Orleans area and participating in a
prayer pilgrimage.
